Sludge filter press feed concentration

Ensure a reasonable feed concentration for the sludge filter press. Theoretically, the higher the feed concentration of the filter press, the better. The higher the concentration, the shorter the filter press cycle, the larger the processing capacity, the more desirable the cake moisture, and the lower the filtrate solids content. However, China's coal processing plants generally flow the bottom stream of the rake thickener into the filter press. Excessive bottom stream concentration brings hidden danger to the normal and safe operation of the harrow thickener. If the pursuit of the bottom stream concentration is too high, it may lead to the pressure rake of the rake-type filter press, affecting normal production. Therefore, the feed concentration of the filter press should be maintained at 400~600g/L, which can ensure the required feed concentration of the filter press and the normal operation of the rake-type sludge filter press.

remainfilter pressReasonable feed pressure. Feed pressure is the main driving force of the filter press process. The higher the feed pressure, the faster the filtering speed. However, too high a feed pressure tends to cause wear and tear on the equipment; at the beginning of the feed, there is not enough material trapped in the chamber. Strictly speaking, the closure of the filter chamber is not ideal. Therefore, in the feeding stage and the early stage of filter press, low pressure and high flow rate should be maintained, and the pressure should be controlled at 0.11~0.12MPa, otherwise, it will lead to the feeding of the filter press, which will have a negative impact on the subsequent filter press, cake formation and cake unloading. The pressure at the filter press stage should be controlled at 0.149~0.159MPa, but should not be greater than 0.18MPa, so as not to damage the filter press plate and frame by excessive pressure and cause unnecessary wear and tear on the feed pump. The pressure can be adjusted on site by gate valve throttling or feed pump motor frequency conversion speed control device to achieve reasonable adjustment of pump head (provided pressure).

Filter press feed size

Ensure reasonable feed particle size. The coal slurry water treatment system of our coal processing plant mostly adopts filter press to recover coal slurry and realise the closed circuit of washing water, but some coal processing plant adopts coal slurry centrifuge (high-frequency sieve) or other equipments with the joint operation of coal slurry filter press to realise the recovery of coal slurry and the closed circuit of washing water. For the former process, the particle size composition of the filter press feed slurry is basically uncontrollable. However, the design of the latter process has some flexibility, i.e., when the coal washing system (or flotation system) is thicker, it is reasonable to transfer part of the thickener underflow to the coal slurry centrifuge to recover the coarse material, and return the centrifuge centrifugal liquid to the filter press feed, which not only improves the particle size composition of the filter press feed, but also improves the working conditions of the filter press.
